They hadn't planned for it to happen like this, but if there's one thing they both know very well after what they went through is that nothing ever goes the way you want to. So, Steve turns around and braces himself for impact. Eddie, instead, just licks his swollen lips as if being discovered by one of the kids didn't bother him, which probably doesn't.

"Were you kissing my Dungeon Master? What the hell? Is everybody gay now?!" Three questions in a row, Mike is on fire.

"Why? Who else is gay?" Eddie asks confused, producing a chocolate bar from seemingly nowhere and munching on it with the serenity of a man who went to hell and survived it, so he's so past teen drama that he doesn't even see it.

"This is so not the point!" Mike screeches hysterically.

Steve, although having gone to hell as well, is not past calling out annoying teenagers that no matter what he does he always seems to end up raising as if they were all orphans. "So, what's the point, then?"

"First my sister, now him! Stop taking my stuff, Harrington!"

Steve frowns. "How come that anything that happens, you manage to make it about you? Eddie is not even your family!"

"It is for me!"

"Aw, little man," Eddie coos.

"Please, Mike, you need a reality check! The world doesn't revolve around you! I was not kissing your DM, I was kissing my boyfriend!"

"Aw, Steve," Eddie coos again.

"I hate you!"

Eddie frowns. "Now, you don't talk to your mother like that!"

That's when Mike runs away screaming.

"Was it too soon for that?"

"Let me be clear, love, there will never be a right moment for that sentence. Never."
